When is an inmate's court date?
No property of any kind will be permitted to enter the facility. Prescription medication, books, clothing, shoes, games, movies, music, puzzles, bibles, personal hygiene products, food, etc. is/are not allowed, even if you intend on donating these items to the facility.
Prescription medication is not permitted to enter the facility. If you wish to assist us with an inmate's medication, you may do so by contacting us with the following information: physician's name, prescription number(s), expiration date(s), quantity, and pharmacy name. All medication will be identified and checked with the prescribing doctor and pharmacy. Expired prescription information will not accepted.
Inmate property is held for 30 days after an inmates release, after 30 days all property is destroyed.
Inmate mail must be labeled clearly and legibly with the senders name and return address, addressed to:

The White County Jail accepts bond 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Citizens bonding an inmate must be over the age of 18 or accompanied by a parent or legal guardian and must possess government issued photo identification (i.e. Drivers License or ID Card).
Cash in the largest logical denomination is the only form of legal tender accepted. Change or $1.00 bills will not be accepted.
Credit card bail/bonding is available via Court Money and can be done via the phone by calling 800-352-9870. A service fee is applied for the usage of this service.

Corrections Officers are unable to pass messages to inmates for any reason, including emergencies.
In order to maintain a secure environment we can not permit family members or others to visit inmates at any medical facility. We realize this may be a stressful circumstance for either party involved, however the security and safety of hospital staff, the inmate, concerned family members, and the community must be protected.
All court appearances are assigned by the White County Circuit Clerk. You may contact the Circuit Clerk by calling (618) 382-2322. Officers will not permit inmate's to have any contact with friends or family members before, during, or after court appearances.

Party Reporting
To report sexual assault or sexual abuse of an inmate currently housed at the White County Jail, please call the jail at 618-382-7149. Then asked to be transferred to the Jail Administrators voice mail. From here you will be able to make your report anonymously if you wish, and the report will be investigated within 24 hours.
